What is Counseling?

Counseling is defined as a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.

What is the Goal?

To go from surviving to thriving. FWF will incorporate your goals and strengths with evidence based interventions to help guide you towards your potential and feeling good about you and your life path.

How does it Work?

Counseling is a process that is less specific. It may be problems or feelings that are overwhelming and causing depressive or anxious symptoms. You may have been through experiences that have caused distress, confusion, and strained relationships.

Counseling is not as specific and may take more time but with FWF you will  be setting goals and gaining new awareness that are instrumental in developing movement towards getting back on your path.

Types of Counseling

Individual Services

No matter your needs, individuals will create a Directional Change Plan to begin to bring movement towards your goals and needs. You are the driver in this process. 

Couple / Family Services

This will focus on relational patterns and communication. Learning to listen and understand one another and how to respond assertively so compromise and connection are possible.

Group Services

Groups will be offered to provide individuals with community learning experience that will provide new skills and understanding of areas of sought after youth.
